Best office chair for a bad back!
I have 3 blown discs in my back and after trying just about every chair at all the office stores, this is the one that worked for me. Yes, the instructions could have been better, but they were extremely helpful at the 800 number for my assembly and operation questions.

If you have to work at a computer for hours a day, this is the way to go, from seat height to seat tilt to back height, angle and fantastic lumbar support... This is the only chair I will ever use. It is the only one I have used where when I stand up after hours of sitting in it, I don't have to grab my back and groan!

Sometimes hard to find in stores because it is such an economical chair for the features you get. I think the stores like to carry the $500 and up chairs for those of us with back problems. Try this inexpensive ergonomic chair and you will be delighted and your back will be relieved!

A Great Extremly Adjustable Computer Chair
This is the best computer chair that I've come across. It is very well made and heavy because it's frame is solid heavy metal and the back of the back of the chair is made from thick hard plastic so it want get torn up from bumping into the edge of your desk and the top of the arms are made from inch thick rubber. I bought this chair about a year ago and it hardly shows any wear so it seams like it should last for allot of years. I sit in this chair for 2-8 hours a day playing computer games and this is the most comfortable computer chair I've had. It can be adjusted in every way for whatever you are doing: you can adjust the tilt of the back and seat separately and lock it in place at any setting with the two of the levers under the seat, you can also adjust the height of the back with a ratcheting mechanism built in to the back of the chair, the height of the arms can be adjusted about 3 inches with the buttons on the out side of the arms, and of course you can adjust the height of the chair with one of the levers under the seat.

Excellent chair; poor instructions and packaging.
Although you can find much less expensive chairs in other sites, this one is a good choice for those who, like me, have back issues and have to spend a great deal of time at a desk. Unfortunately, the assembly instructions are very poor and, unless one has a great deal of experience and know-how, the process of putting it together can be lengthy and frustrating. My final rating is: 4 stars for the chair/price combination, and 1 star for the instructions. Time around for delivery was reasonable. Packaging was poor (it came apart in transit).

    Big Chair
Got this chair for my husband's birthday. I expected SOME assembly, but this needed COMPLETE assembly. He's pretty good at that, so I wasn't much worried. Well, the instructions were just expanded drawings and very little written instructions. I guess that was a good thing, because the instructions were WRONG! Got the chair together, then found more details on the website. The website had corrected instructions, and, apparently, there is a newer version of the chair that is probably easier/better. If we had the correct instructions and/or the newer version, we may not have had a fight over it. Happy Birthday!

The final product, after correct assembly, is ok. The tilt feature (which is what was corrected) is still not very good, I think they over-complicated it. The chair itself is well built and rolls smoothly. The armrests are not as well made as the rest of the chair, the height adjustment feature makes them wiggly.

My husband likes the wide seat and thinks the chair is fairly comfortable. I think he would like more a more cushy seat, he is still using a pillow.

    I Own Three
I have used these chairs for more than 4 years. I have collected three, one for each of the places I spend a lot of time typing / sitting. The chairs are highly configurable, are well padded, sturdy, provide good support, etc. All around they have stood (sat) the test of time. The chairs are excellent.

The one time I needed to call the vendor (something was missing from the box when I purchased the 3rd chair), I had a part within a week. Hope you enjoy your chair as much as I have.

    Mechanism slips
I bought this chair from Office Depot about 5 years ago. It has a very high back which is kind of nice if you want to lean your head back but it looks too tall. Overall its pretty comfortable. My biggest complaint is that the adjustment that controls the front/back tilt does not hold the chair securily. Every time you scoot the chair or lean a bit forward the mechanism slips and you end end up having to tilt it back again.

I wish I had returned this chair.
I have regretted buying this chair since it arrived. It was difficult to put together, and it is one of the least comfortable office chairs that I own. This is a definite case that I would not have purchased the chair had I sat in it first. Ultimately, I chose to keep it since taking it apart and returning it was a hassle. Now it just sits in the corner collecting dust while I use my old chair instead.

    Poor Performance
I purchased this chair specifically to replace my old, worn out, non-ergonomic office chair. I also have occasional lower back pain and was hoping this chair would help. It had an affordable price and enough adjustments to suit my needs.

    Pros:
The leather seat is comfortable. The seat adjustments are great to tilt the seat angle just to where I wanted it. The arm rest height adjustments worked fine, though the arm rests themselves seemed very wobbly.

    Cons:
I tried the chair for about 3 weeks and found it to be lacking in most ways. The back seat "jiggles" left and right, as if not seated properly (and it was setup as good as the chair would allow me), and did nothing to help my back sit correctly. The left and right arm rests seem too close together, even at their widest setting. Trying to use the keyboard and mouse at the same time, while keeping the proper posture and arm placement was impossible for me. I had to place my right arm on the edge of the arm rest just to use the mouse, not a good thing. As others note, the assembly instructions are terrible. The chair itself had a terrible plastic funk as I un-boxed it, and still does even after 3 weeks.

Thankfully, as always, Amazon shines on it's return policy. I'm not sure if I got a broken chair, put it together wrong, or the chair is just junk. Either way it's going back to Amazon for a refund. I would recommend avoiding this chair and looking elsewhere.
