Pretty Decent Watch for the Money 28 March, 2011
I've only had the watch for a month. Purchased it for a nursing program (clinicals)in which I needed a watch that is water resistant, has a seconds hand, and pretty easy to read. This fit the bill at a relatively low price. I've always used digital watches so I get the added benefit of a digital display aside from the analog face. I haven't had it for that long, so I can't attest to the durability. We'll see.. but so far so good. Indiglo is a plus for viewing the time in dark settings. Here's a tip, if you hold the indiglo button down for a couple of seconds till it beeps, it changes the duration of how long the indiglo light stays on. This was a pleasant surprise because I was initially disappointed that the light stayed on for only a second by default. Now it's set for more like 3 to 4 seconds.

Nice rugged dependable watch 9 May, 2011
I am rough on watches. I usually break them before the battery dies. This watch has lasted longer than any other I have owned. I am on my 3rd battery. The band is quite worn but it still works great. The crystal is very strong and resists scratches. I travel a lot. It has 2 time zones for the digital display. You can display either time zone or date as default. Also alarms for each zone. Time is very accurate. If it ever breaks, I would buy the exact same one again.

    Nice watch 6 August, 2011
I bought this watch to replace a Timex that had broken after 2 1/2 years of service. This is a very attractive watch and looks better in person than on the computer screen. The watch is made of metal and has a leather strap. I have only had the watch a day so the strap is a little stiff, but should break in fine. The watch is also keeping time and is not running fast or slow so far.

I am pretty impressed that I was able to get such a nice watch for the price I paid. The watch is attractive and functional, yet it is not overly complicated to set. I feel this is a watch that could be worn to the office and will also look good when going out with my spouse.

Another thing that impressed me is that I ordered the watch on Thursday around 11:00 A.M. and the watch was at my house on Friday around 1:00 P.M. I am an Amazon prime member and for some reason Amazon flew it next day air. Thanks Amazon!

Last watch you will need to buy 20 December, 2011
I have had mine for about 5 years. It is tough as nails, not to heavy, water, dust, dirt and mud proof. This is my second one. I had the first one about 8 years and took it to wal-mart to get the battery replaced and the women in the jewelry department used a HAMMER to put the back on it and cracked the glass. It still worked but was no longer water proof. Great watch at a good price. Battery lasts 3-5 years depending on brand. The Glass is durable as long as you don't use a hammer to put the back on.

Loved it. Looks great and very comfortable. 16 October, 2011
This was a great watch that I ultimately had to return.

    Pros:
    Looks great.
    Very comfortable.
    Easy to read display.
    Excellent illumination at night.
    Very sturdy feeling.

    Cons:
The digital display might be a little small for those that have problems reading small things.
Ticks loudly...o.k., I will admit that I am very anal about things like this and it probably won't bother anybody other than me. But I work in a very quiet environment and I would find myself distracted by the ticking of the watch.

All in all, I liked it very much and I would buy it again if it wasn't for that.

Timex Men's Expedition Analog with Digital Window T498289J 16 May, 2012
I work as a med-Nurse and needed a good watch after my old one died. I like all the features of this watch and it is easy to see, however the digital part is not as easy to see unless you are in a well lit room, if you illuminate the watch face (INDIGLO night-lite) it is easier to see. I have used this watch for over a month now and it keeps perfect time, I Love it. I hope they still sell this watch if anything ever happens to mine cause, I would buy another one like this.

Feature packed bargain 20 April, 2012
My first Expedition Analog/digital was purchased 8 years ago and every function still works -- but it's kinda beat up. My leather band is gross and the face is a bit scratched up. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it 8 years ago but it was around $40. What a deal then, what a better deal now. It was my favorite travel watch for keeping track of what time it is at home from far away. No calculations, just look at the digital read out -- great for challenged people like myself. Plus it has a stop watch function which I used pretty regularly, an alarm loud enough to wake me up even when I'm on meds, a 24 hour timer which I never found a use for, and a day and date function. Other reviewers negative on the readout are correct -- the shadow from the face makes reading some of the readout difficult, especially the tiny "A" or "P" for AM and PM. Nevertheless, I ordered a new one and discovered it is somewhat different. This one has a wider case. The analog face is brighter with cleaner markings and 13-24 hour printout around the dial. (the digital readout, unfortunately, appears to be the same) Overall, it is still a value. I also own a low end Tag Heuer that is an attractive watch and well made but also cost 30 times more than the Timex. For less than $40 this Timex is the best deal out there. Hey, if it konks out after a year, it's only 40 bucks. Put another way, I could buy one a year for 30 years and still not break even with the Tag.

    Love It 7 June, 2013
I was just reviewing old amazon purchases and got very excited. I purchased this watch years ago and really liked it. I like having the analog hands but a digital display. My house was broken into last month and they took this watch. I have been missing it and was looking all over amazon for this watch. Luckily, if I click on the link for this watch in my purchase history, it takes me to another site where the watch is still in stock. I will gladly pay another $45 plus shipping for this watch.

    Everything I expected 29 December, 2012
This is my second watch of this type. It is reasonable and truly functional. A great buy. I am surprised at how accurate it keeps time. I have had other battery powered watches that do not keep accurate time.
