   Great Camera 6 December, 2011

   Years ago I took photography courses, had a darkroom and was all about taking pictures. Now I just wanted something to put pictures on line. This is a handful of camera, lots of features I'll never use. Most of all I like the viewfinder. It takes excellent pictures and downloading is really easy.

   works great unbeleivable zoom wish I could take pictures quicker for sports but its fine. The quality of pictures is amazing the best camera for the money

   This camera is an excellent camera for the money. I highly recommend this camera. I prefer the viewfinder rather than the screen. The panoramic function is quite nice as well. The software if pretty basic, so you may want to invest in Adobe Photoshop.

   I enjoy collecting cameras, so I couldn't pass up a deal on this one.
   Most of the non-DSLR cameras I have are Panasonic, so this was an opportunity
   to try a new brand.Despite the fact that the sensor is as small as most of my Panasonics,and that it has 14mp crammed in it(usually a recipe for image noise)Fuji clearly makes a superior sensor than Panasonic.Images taken at iso 800 are as good as panasonic cameras taken at 200.The fuji lens quality was also a big suprise, it gives the various Leica's Panasonic uses a run for their money!
   I tested the camera against my EOS 5D yesterday. It was CLOSE...only a very slight edge to the 12.9 mp 5D since it was very slightly cleaner of an image, and only by a little. Every thing is well thought out from High Def Video to zooming while filming. I wish the zoom was from the lens and not a p/s style power zoom but thats the only thing I would suggest, everything else is perfect.

   The Fuji Finepix S4000 is a great camera especially for the price of about $200. The 30x zoom is great. It is at it's best outdoors of course. I found that taking pictures using the long zoom does not work well if the subject is not lit; that is probably true for any camera. it helps to read the manual and to take pictures playing around with the different settings. The higher ISO settings work very well in low light situations. the camera does take good pictures in low light as long as it is not a far off zoom with an unlit subject. I have been using regular AA batteries and they have worked well for the amount of pictures I take. the video is good, but once you zoom in on the subject you are trying to video, the zoom seems to lock into a small range. I have not figure out the aperture setting, maybe it is meaningless for this camera. But I have found that a number of the reviews listed here that have complaints are from a lack of understanding of how to use the camera. Maybe some of my issues are the same as well.
   The only thing I wish this camera could do was take raw pictures. then you could do a lot more editing of the photos. This is one of the main differences between this and a DSLR camera.

   This is my very first camera that I have ever owned but I can tell you that it is a great deal. I did a lot of research on the camera before I purchased it, and im glad I chose this one. I would recommend anyone looking for a good deal but also a good camera towards the fujifilm S4000. Just a wonderful camera, and it arrived even earlier than it was supposed to by a day. I will never shop ebay again.

   I was looking for a camara that would not only take pictures of my children for my husband to take on his upcoming deployment, but for a camara that would bring those pictures to life for him while he was gone but not break the bank. We couldn't afford much and for the price this thing takes AWESOME pictures. When I post the pictures online for my family they all ask what kind of camara I used because the pictures are great. I'm very very happy with this product and would recommend it to everyone.

   Great, easy to use, photo's edit well. I love it. I used it to photo humming birds, soccer games and wildlife. Quick focus, easy zoom...all good.

   I purchased this camera for my husband who was looking for a good value and great upgrade. This camera fit the bill perfectly and takes GREAT pictures. He is very pleased.

    This camera works excellent, google the fuji guys, follow the instructions, contrary to popular belief it does have individual settings, I would post pics but why bother ? BUY THIS CAMERA AND A TRIPOD/MONOPOD....
